
The purpose of Technical Cooperation Facility (TCF) is to support successful implementation of Malawi Government’s development programmes, financed through European Development Fund (EDF), and other funded activities in Malawi, including joint actions with donors.
The overall objective of TCF is to reduce poverty in line with Malawi Growth and Development Strategy (MGDS). One of the aims is to fund technical cooperation with the government of Malawi.

In 2016, the Malawi Government and the European Commission (EC) signed a Financing Agreement to implement a Justice and Accountability Programme called Chilungamo Programme. The financing agreement entered into force on 16 September, 2016.
A programme designed to consolidate the successes registered by Democratic Governance Programme of the 10th EDF, Chilungamo Programme aims at contributing to a dignified life through accountable government, informed democratic choice, and humane and effective delivery of justice.

The Malawi Enterprise Productivity Enhancement (MEPE) project is a European Union (EU) funded project to the Government of Malawi through the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) to the tune of €1,498,199.
MEPE’s overall objective is to contribute to the National goal of sustainable economic growth as stipulated in the Malawi Growth and Development Strategy II (MDGS II) which is now replaced by the MGDS III. The initiative is through up-scaling of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) or cooperatives to produce competitive products for domestic and export markets.
